The Distributor Executive is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for orchestrating and optimizing distributor relationships and market execution strategies across all geographies in Trinidad & Tobago. This position demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales and commercial management, capable of driving significant impact through innovative and data-driven approaches.

 

Accountabilities:

 

  • Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies based on data-driven insights. Lead and monitor execution through distributor sales forces, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and market demands.
  • Market Intelligence and Opportunity Identification: Leverage field data to provide actionable market insights, identifying growth opportunities in portfolio white spaces and potential vertical and horizontal expansions. Translate these insights into strategic and tactical plans.
  • Inventory and Sales Optimization: Oversee inventory control across all channels, designing and executing action plans to accelerate sell-out processes while maintaining balanced sales allowance budgets.
  • Risk Management: Influence and recommend credit limits and levels for commercial partners, mitigating risks associated with uncollectible accounts.
  • Customer Development: Drive the Customer Development agenda to achieve PMI and distributor KPIs. Implement continuous improvement methodologies to foster growth and enhance performance.
  • Innovative Route-to-Market Strategies: Develop and execute innovative actions to enhance market penetration and product availability. Identify and leverage customer capabilities to expand market reach.
  • Sales Promotion and Incentive Planning: Analyze and optimize sell-in and sell-out activities, designing effective incentive plans for distributor sales forces to maximize performance.
  • Resource Management: Efficiently manage resources, time, budget, and personnel to ensure optimal return on investment.
  • Team Development: Cultivate the skills of team members, promoting their professional growth and enhancing overall team performance.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in sales or commercial roles, with direct experience managing distributor relationships. At least 4 years of experience in data analysis and 3 years in team leadership roles.
  • Skills: Strong strategic thinking and result-oriented mindset. Exceptional team management and collaboration skills. Superior oral and written communication abilities, with a proven capacity to build cross-functional relationships.
  • Language Proficiency: Advanced Spanish level is a plus.
