Position Title: Sustainability Engineer

What You’ll Do
Drive Sustainability Excellence
- Support the factory’s sustainability strategy and Open+ phase deployment.
- Empower line managers and supervisors to cultivate a culture of sustainability and safety.
- Lead by example, coaching teams to build self-sufficient EHS capabilities.
- Champion our ZERO-incident vision by raising awareness, building maturity, and supporting strong safety behavior.
Lead EHS Program Implementation
- Deploy and continuously improve EHS Pillar systems and tools based on audits, incident investigations, benchmarks, and legal changes.
- Ensure new equipment and installations are compliant with legal and internal standards.
- Chip in to cross-functional project teams, including during the design and commissioning phases of new factory projects.
Enable Environmental Performance
- Handle projects aimed at reducing waste, emissions, and energy consumption in line with carbon neutrality goals.
- Partner with key collaborators to track and improve environmental critical metrics.
- Ensure EHS systems are also embedded in contractor operations to maintain consistent standards across the board.
Monitor, Investigate, Improve
- Implement proactive risk management programs, audits, inspections, and emergency planning.
- Investigate and report incidents using root cause analysis tools (IPS/UPS), ensuring lessons learned prevent future occurrences.
- Stay ahead of evolving EHS regulations and technology to advise management
Educate and Empower
- Develop and lead Sustainability and EHS training aligned with Open+ and Zero Loss Journey.
- Maintain accurate training records for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Create awareness and ensure understanding of everyone’s role in achieving a zero-incident culture.
Strengthen Emergency Preparedness
- Design, implement, and test emergency plans aligned with PMI standards to reduce business risk and protect people and assets.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s or master’s in Environmental, Sustainability, or Safety Engineering, or related technical field.
- Minimum 2–5 years’ EHS experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Deep knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001.
- Strong technical expertise in risk assessment, incident investigation, LOTO, and machinery safety.
- Excellent project management and analytical skills.
- Proven leadership in process improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
- AWS certification or experience integrating sustainability solutions with cloud platforms is a strong plus.
- Proficient in French (local language) & English proficiency at intermediate level or above.
