This position sits with our Swedish Match affiliate.
Your ‘day to day’
- Oversee and continuously improve inventory control systems and storage strategies, ensuring optimal use of space and staging areas.
- Conduct transactional searches and analyze supply chain issues to support operational decision-making.
- Train team members on automated warehouse systems, including handheld barcode scanners.
- Ensure accurate barcode labeling across all logistics, production, and storage areas to maintain data integrity.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with storage policies and procedures across departments.
- Provide coverage for Shipping department roles during staff absences, as directed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Shipping, Receiving, Logistics, Business Control) to ensure accurate processing of finished goods and customer returns in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with departments such as Receiving, Procurement, Planning, Production, Quality Assurance, and Shipping to drive 5S improvements and reduce losses and costs.
- Participate in expansion projects to minimize supply chain disruptions and address space limitations.
- Support cyclical inventory activities and ensure policy compliance across all departments.
- Provide administrative support and coverage as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
Who we’re looking for:
- Education Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience Required: 5–10 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or other relevant fields.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Proficiency in advanced computer and software concepts.
- Strong foundation in mathematics principles, evaluation, and analysis.
- Basic understanding of procurement, management, administration, and accounting principles and terminology.
- Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
- Ability to work independently within the scope of the job description.
- Must be able to stand and walk around the facility for several cumulative hours daily.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task.
- Capable of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, project staff, and suppliers.
- High attention to detail, ability to prioritize workload, and follow tasks through to completion.
