The Supplier Quality Manager will lead the Supplier Quality team (Globally and Regionally) assuring the full Compliance with the requirement of the established Quality Management System (QMS) where applicable. Support definition and implementation of Functional strategies to support delivery of One US Quality OGSM. Drive suppliers’ relationship related to quality matters to ensure goods/services adherence to established specifications, quality requirements and contract agreements while collaborating closely with key stakeholders. Lead Supplier & Material Qualification and Third-Party Change activities according to established processes and defined timelines globally and regionally. Drive supplier performance monitoring and foster continuous improvement to avoid disruption of goods/services supply. 

 

Day to Day

 

  • Manage, staff and develop a motivated and skilled team to ensure performance levels and professional development and achievement of objectives. Define and manage departmental budget and expenses monitoring based on function objectives to ensure optimal allocation of resources, adequate funding, and compliance with financial practices. Define strategies and implement them to support functional and One US Quality OGSM deliverables.
  • Ensure Suppliers & material qualification are executed according to the established qualification plans using risk-based approach. Coordinate the qualification according to business owners/ requestors needs (time, scope, etc.) in accordance with defined QMS requirements.
  • Drive supplier's quality performance monitoring based on agreed KPIs to ensure compliance to established specifications and ensure sustainable performance. Trigger Improvement actions with the suppliers according to needs to address systemic issues in collaboration with supplier development team.
  • Ensure third party changes requests submitted by suppliers are managed according to established QMS requirements by involving required SMEs during risk assessment and trigger change management process or material qualification when needed.
  • Oversee trigger of supplier audits based on supplier performance or qualification activities to US Quality Team. Ensure adherence to define audit plan and once CAPA actions validated by audit team, follow-up proper CAPA implementation with the supplier according to defined timelines. 
  • Ensure Support to PMI affiliates in critical non-conformities (MQI/SQI) resolution by driving timely and accurately root cause analysis and action plan definition (containment actions, corrective and preventive actions) by the supplier to ensure timely resolution and avoid reoccurrence while ensuring reapplication across supplier sites in collaboration with supplier development team.
  • Contribute to define and maintain overall Supplier Management processes. Develop and maintain documentation related to supplier management activities in accordance with PMI One US and external requirements and ensure adequate traceability. Ensure audit readiness by following established requirements and keeping good state of documentation in the available systems. In case of need, support remediation activities. Ensure all Tolling activities are documented such as outgoing activities and supplier visits during Quality Review Meetings (QRM).
  • Ensure all activities are executed according to PMI One US Compliance Policies, standards, tolling requirements and laws relating to these activities are fully respected, integrated and understood by stakeholders, and implement adequate processes to ensure the protection of information of a confidential nature.

 

What we are looking for:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Process Engineering / Material Engineering or equivalent skills through demonstrated experience.
  • 8-10 years of experience in Supplier qualification and management in FMCG industries / Automotive, electronics or medical device industries and leadership in operational QA area.
  • Experience in managing large teams (including remote teams)
  • Proven ability to engage and negotiate with external suppliers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, decision making abilities and demonstrated sound judgement using previous experience of similar situations.
  • PMI Product & Processes knowledge
  • Strong analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to learn on the fly. 
  • Advanced knowledge of relevant standards (ISO, ICH, GMP). 
  • Advanced knowledge on Risk Management, Quality tools, root cause analysis, analytical skills and statistical tool knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Certified Green Belt is a plus
