A Sustainability is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization’s sustainability initiatives. This role involves strategic planning, cross- departmental collaboration, and stakeholder engagement to ensure the company meets its environmental, social and governance (ESG) goal
Day to Day:
- Create and execute comprehensive sustainability plans that align with the organization’s mission and vision.
- Set measurable sustainability goals and targets, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to ESG metrics (external and internal metrics)
- Assist in preparing detailed sustainability reports for stakeholders, including customers, investors, and regulatory bodies
- Work with various teams to integrate sustainability into business operations and decision- making processes
- Promote product innovation with sustainability in mind, such as eco-friendly designs and renewable energy integration
- Promote sustainability initiatives among employees, customers, suppliers and the communities
- Lead/ Prepare sustainability awareness programs for employees at each factory
- Ensure the organization adheres to environmental and sustainability regulations and standards
- Identify and assess sustainability risks and opportunities within the organization
- Advocate with strategic planning for sustainable practices and policies at the executive level and within each factory
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to sustainability
- Other duties as assigned
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, business administration or a related field; a master’s degree is often preferred.
- Extensive experience (5-10 years) in sustainability, corporate social responsibility or environmental management. Past working experience in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards.
- Knowledge in Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) Reporting; Science-based targets (SBTi) knowledge. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sustainability strategies.
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills, a must.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability best practices.
- Analytical skills to assess sustainability performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Project management skills to oversee sustainability initiatives and programs.
- Passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive change
