This position sits with our Swedish Match affiliate.

 

Your ‘day to day’

 

    • Serve as a role model for the shift crew by consistently demonstrating safe work practices, respect for safety standards, strong housekeeping discipline, and proper asset care through routine maintenance and cleaning activities in accordance with established procedures.
    • Ensure all assets within the assigned area are properly maintained and that equipment remains in good technical condition by identifying and escalating anomalies through the appropriate line structure.
    • Actively contribute to Value Stream initiatives to achieve production volume objectives in a cost‑effective manner, with a strong focus on waste reduction.
    • Support collaboration and synergies across shifts to ensure alignment with production plans, standards, and operational priorities.
    • Apply OPEN+ tools to help the team identify root causes of inefficiencies, measure performance gaps, develop action plans, and implement corrective actions.
    • Coach the BU crew in continuous improvement efforts related to productivity, safety, and quality, ensuring deviations are promptly identified and resolved by the team.
    • Organize, supervise, and coach the work of direct and indirect reports in accordance with the defined line structure.
    • Propose organizational and workforce improvements to management and execute approved strategies through effective hiring, training, development, and performance management.
    • Foster a team‑oriented work environment by working collaboratively with team members to resolve personnel, safety, quality, and equipment‑related issues.
    • Establish, promote, and enforce safe work habits and practices across all maintenance and production activities.

 

Who we’re looking for: 

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3–5 years of hands‑on experience working on a production floor.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and common operational challenges.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies (preferred).
  • Proven experience in workforce scheduling and resource management.
  • Solid knowledge of quality control, quality assurance, and applicable quality standards.

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Management, or equivalent education and experience.

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and supervisory capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Well‑developed IT skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SAP, and PLM systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Customer‑oriented mindset with the ability to learn quickly and maintain attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive teamwork and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Annual Base Salary Range: $ 104,000 - $130,000
