Your ‘day to day’:

The Analyst ITP Forensics role exists to support the organization’s efforts in combating illicit trade through systematic sample analysis, data entry, and reporting. This role ensures the integrity of anti-illicit trade efforts by maintaining accurate records, facilitating chemical analysis, and contributing to internal reporting and decision-making processes.

The Analyst ITP Forensics is responsible for inspecting and analyzing product samples to determine its authenticity. They enter sample data into the ITEMS system, including product details, counterfeit indicators, and photos. The Analyst logs and tracks sample outcomes and contributes to regular reporting to support decision-making. They also create summary slide decks for test purchases and, when needed, coordinate with the QA lab to facilitate chemical analysis and compile results. Additionally, they ensure proper sample retention in line with department policy. These responsibilities involve executing tasks, consulting with lab teams, and supporting broader anti-illicit trade efforts.

The Analyst supports anti-illicit trade efforts by processing and analyzing approximately 20–50 product samples per week. This includes entering detailed data regarding the events, samples and their characteristics into the system, maintaining photographic records, storing event related documentation, tracking authenticity determinations and case progress. The role contributes to regular internal reporting and supports the creation of 5–10 analysis summary presentations weekly. The Analyst also coordinates with the internal QA lab for chemical testing and ensures proper sample retention in compliance with departmental policy. The position interacts with multiple internal teams and systems, playing a key role in maintaining the integrity of product authenticity assessments across regional operations.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Education:
    A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Criminal Justice, Business, Data Analytics, Forensic Science, or a related discipline is preferred but not required.

  • Experience:
    6 months to 1 year of relevant experience in operations, logistics, or analytical support roles. Exposure to data entry, reporting, or product handling in a professional setting is beneficial

  • Knowledge & Skills:
    • Familiarity with data systems or operational platforms (e.g., ITEMS or similar tools)
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify patterns or anomalies
    • Basic understanding of counterfeit detection or product authentication processes is a plus
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Effective verbal and written communication, including presentation skills
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
