HVAC Technician

The HVAC Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving HVAC and refrigeration systems that support manufacturing operations, warehouses, laboratories, offices, and employee facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, troubleshoot, and install HVAC, chiller, and air handling equipment.
• Monitor and adjust temperature, humidity, airflow, and ventilation systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, refrigeration, and control system issues.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Building Automation Systems (BAS) and HVAC controls.
• Repair or replace components including motors, compressors, belts, bearings, valves, sensors, filters, and fans.
• Respond to equipment failures and facility issues to minimize production disruptions.
• Complete work orders and document activities in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Participate in scheduled shutdowns, weekend maintenance, and on-call support as needed.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Technical training in HVAC, Refrigeration, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
• Minimum two years of industrial or commercial HVAC experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC controls, refrigeration systems, electrical systems, building automation systems, and single- and three-phase circuits.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, control circuits, and equipment layouts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyman HVAC License or equivalent certification.
• Experience with industrial chillers, boiler systems, compressed air systems, and environmental control systems.
• Experience with SAP or other maintenance management software.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at elevated heights.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and mechanical spaces.

Hourly Rate: $39.90
