Position: Accounting & Reporting Specialist, Nis, Serbia

 

 

 

Purpose of Role:

Executes monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities of respective PMI affiliates to make sure they are performed timely, including the accuracy and conformity with legal, fiscal, statutory and corporate requirements.

 

 

 

 

Accountability

  • Prepares monthly, quarterly and / or annual statutory financial reporting of respective PMI affiliates, as per agreed split of responsibilities. It includes timeliness, accuracy and conformity with legal, fiscal, statutory and corporate requirements.
  • Maintain overall accounting records for respective PMI affiliates; perform the period-end closing activities in order to prepare and deliver timely and accurately PMI Financial Statements (both US GAAP and Statutory), as well as reports of financial information to PMI Management, PMI Consolidation department and external authorities.
  • Performs control & review activities delegated by GL Supervisor (incl review of JERFs and Accounts reconciliation samples and GMRB transmissions dashboard).
  • Supports GL Supervisor in coordination of MEC process with Affiliate, IBS and BPO Teams.
  • Ensure all controls requirements including SOX, PMI P&Ps, Finance Accounting Standards are met for controls in scope of Senior GL Analyst.
  • Participate in global projects / process changes implementation (changes in CoA, Data Transformation, changes in RRP processes etc).

 

 

 

 

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Economics, Finance or similar) required
  • Professional with 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong RTR GL process knowledge
  • Proficient user of MS Office
  • Knowledge and practical application of AI tools and new technologies will be considered an advantage.
  • Fluent in English
  • Functional knowledge of SAP
  • Strong communication skills – verbal and written
  • Strong coordination and liaison skills
  • Fast learner with ability to navigate across various backgrounds
  • Demonstration of curiosity with ability to take initiative
