We have a new Sustainability Engineer vacancy in Neuchatel, and we are searching for someone who will support our factory in developing robust Environmental, Health and Safety programs that comply with our sustainability strategies, ensure safe working environments and protect product quality.
In this role, you will engage closely with internal and external communities and regulatory bodies, conduct inspections and risk assessments across shop-floor and laboratory environments, and provide practical support to employees and leadership team members at all levels in implementation of risk elimination initiatives to have a site-wide impact!
Impact You’ll Own
- Design and deliver comprehensive training programs that directly contribute to increased compliance, employee awareness and reduced HS&E incidents
- Identify HS&E improvement opportunities and then design and deliver the actions that adjust systems and processes
- Engage and maintain relationships with all stakeholder groups impacted by the environmental performance of the organization
What You’ll Do
- Develop and oversee comprehensive environmental, health & safety training plans, ensuring workforce competency and compliance
- Ensure alignment with internal and external environmental, health & safety requirements, identifying and addressing areas for improvement
- Conduct research and analysis on core environmental topics including climate change, biodiversity, and water stewardship to provide input to corporate sustainability programs
- Monitor global macro trends and explore alternative data sources to identify risks and opportunities that support sustainability leadership and regulatory compliance.
Skills & Capabilities
- University Degree in Engineering (Safety, Environmental, Chemical, Process, EH&S) or related field.
- Experience or qualifications related to MSST/ASA, ISO 14001/ISO 45001
- Experience working within a FMCG environment
