Your ‘day to day’
As a Manager Life Sciences Data Governance, you will be responsible for defining the data strategy to support Life Sciences strategy, in partnership with IT. You maintain a comprehensive overview of Life Sciences data assets and play an integral role in defining how this data supports and enhances strategic objectives.
More specifically, you'll
- Develop and uphold a Life Sciences data library (catalogue) and architectural framework
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define a Life Sciences data strategy that supports business objectives and elevates Life Sciences data as an asset for PMI, ensuring traceability and integrity
- Lead and maintain Life Sciences’ data governance model across data objects in alignment with global data governance practices and policies. Represent Life Sciences in multi-functional data governance operational bodies.
- Identify and drive initiatives that harmonize and link relevant data objects, promoting data-driven and automatable practices and processes. In collaboration with IT, define metrics to assess data linkage maturity, monitor progress & drive optimizations.
- Support Life Sciences data integrity by establishing relevant and consistent FAIR principles and ensuring their implementation through data owners across Life Sciences data objects. Adhere to PMI and Life Sciences data governance framework.
- In collaboration with Data owners, define processes and strategies for data extraction, processing, use and disposal in order to generate new knowledge, insights across data assets
- Map and co-lead business-critical data projects, with quality and integrity. Prioritize projects that support business intelligence and analytics use cases.
- Develop and manage data governance protocols collaborating with data owners, technical users, and non-technical users.
- Raise awareness and engage the organization on the strategy and emerging business trends, in collaboration with Life Sciences IT (e.g. Generative Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning)
- Identify capability gaps in delivering the data strategy and partner with stakeholders and teams to raise these gaps.
Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in a similarly scoped data management role. Experience in working with clinical & post-market research data. Deep familiarity with data architecture and information system design principles. Understanding of data governance and ownership principles and frameworks.
- Data governance, stakeholder management, relationships management, excellent documentation and communication skills, ability to engage with different levels of seniority across Business, IT and Analytics, exceptional drive to create and improve, curiosity, open and hands-on collaborator. Consistent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
