Your day to day
As a Manager CMC, you will own the Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls (CMC) documentation for Smoke Free Products such as Devices and Consumables. You’ll ensure accurate, up-to-date product information throughout the lifecycle, supporting clinical trials and regulatory submissions while aligning with PMI’s regulatory strategy.
More specifically, you'll
- Define and communicate CMC strategy to support product expansion and regulatory compliance.
- Lead preparation and maintenance of scientific product information for submissions and post-approval changes.
- Assess product changes and guide documentation updates accordingly.
- Stay up to date on regulatory trends and ensure submission accuracy and consistency.
- Act as CMC Domain Authority in regulatory interactions and internal collaborations.
- Educate partners on CMC content and its importance through awareness programs.
- Coordinate multi-functional efforts to meet submission timelines and clinical trial plans.
- Apply continuous improvement to CMC processes to ensure accurate data collection across the product lifecycle.
Who we’re looking for
- Degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or equivalent.
- 10+ years in CMC and Regulatory Affairs with lifecycle and technical expertise.
- 5+ years in risk management within regulated industries.
- Experience in QA and production control (tobacco, pharma, food, etc.).
- Familiarity with standards like 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, ISO 9001.
- Adaptability to build strong relationships and integrate quickly into a new organization. Strong understanding of PMI products and processes is a plus.
- Skilled in simplifying technical content and handling sophisticated projects.
- Ability to apply technical regulations to a fit for purpose approach.
- Proven leadership, teamwork, and partner engagement.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Curiosity and open minded personality.
- Proficiency in English; French is a plus.
