Your ‘day to day’

 

As a Lead Lab Data Management, you will lead data initiatives within Non-Clinical Sciences. This includes overseeing project planning, execution, and delivery, supervising team members, and ensuring effective data management processes, as well as standardizing data for regulatory submissions, automating data flows and laboratory processes, and collaborating with IT for seamless system integration. Additionally, you will provide data management support, using BPMN for process mapping, and stay updated with the latest advancements in data management and laboratory automation, to ensure data is Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR) and to represent PMI in relevant CDISC projects. You will perform duties in accordance to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) according to the RS 813.112.1 Ordonnance sur les bonnes pratiques de laboratoire (OBPL) du 18 mai 2005 (Etat le 12 juillet 2005) and the respective PMI procedures.

 

More specifically, you'll

 

  • Lead projects and supervise a team, for data initiatives related to Non-Clinical Sciences, overseeing project planning, execution, and delivery. Ensure effective supervision of personnel and resources to achieve departmental objectives
  • Define and supervise data processes, establish and oversee data management processes for Non-Clinical activities, ensuring accountability for related SOPs and WKIs. Provide support on laboratory instruments integration and data management systems and activities. When there is an identified business benefit, propose and participate to the design and lead the implementation of automatization of data flows.
  • Standardize data, design and lead the implementation of data standardization processes to support data submission using the CDISC Tobacco Implementation standards and ensure data is Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR). Represent PMI in CDISC project(s) sponsored by FDA to submit Non-Clinical data.
  • When there is an identified business benefit, propose, design and lead the implementation of laboratory automation platforms and workflows.
  • Collaborate/liaise with IT to ensure seamless integration and support for data management systems.
  • Ensure Process Mapping, using BPMN methodology to map critical processes, ensuring support for data management and data integrity. Continuously maintain and update these process maps, establishing clear rules and procedures for effective process mapping.
  • Stay updated and maintain up-to-date knowledge in data management, laboratory automation, and relevant technologies within the Non-Clinical scientific field. 

 

Who we’re looking for

 

  • PhD (preferred) or Master’s Degree in Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related areas, or equivalent experience and skills.
  • Additional certifications or specialized training in project management (e.g. PMP, SCRUM), laboratory automation, data management, or related technologies are preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in data management, laboratory automation, or a related field within Non-Clinical Sciences.
  • Demonstrated experience with laboratory systems: LIMS (laboratory information management systems), ELN (Electronic Laboratory Notebook), SDMS (Scientific Data Management System), CDS (Chromatography Management System).
  • Sound expertise leading projects involving data initiatives and laboratory automation.
  • Experience in supervising teams and resources to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data standardization and familiarity with CDISC standards.
  • Hands-on experience with automating data flows and laboratory processes, including the design and implementation of automation platforms.
  • Strong collaboration skills with IT departments to ensure seamless integration of data management systems.
  • Sound experience in programming in Python, C#, SQL.
  • Proficiency in process mapping using BPMN methodology and maintaining data integrity.
  • Knowledge of computerized systems validation (GAMP5, 21 CFR Part11).
  • Knowledge in PowerBI is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken is required.
