About the Flavors Essentials program
Global supply of natural extracts is becoming scarce for climatic or geopolitical reasons. To reduce our exposure to shortage and become more Agile, we are willing to create synthetic building blocks approaching a comparable Sensory performance in the final product by leveraging on our existing pool of synthetic chemical
Who we’re looking for
- Currently studying for your Master/bachelor’s degree as Flavourist, Food Technology or equivalent
- Good knowledge of flavor’s chemicals and their contribution/influence in the final flavors
- Familiar with Good Laboratory Practices and used to work in laboratories environment
- Need to evaluate the final product not necessary
- Fluent in English, French is beneficial
Roles & Objectives
Team up with our Flavorists for our Combustible Category (CC) and others Product Development departments (e.g. Sensory, Cigarette Design, etc.) to develop state-of-the art flavors/building blocks aiming at approaching Nature’s goodness while reducing uncertainty linked to crop availabilities and crop-to-crop variations.
Run literature research of the selected Essential Oils, cross-check with current synthetic molecules from the portfolio, propose new synthetic ingredients (if relevant), compound autonomously the trials following GLP, prepare the samples for evaluation, coordinate the Sensory evaluation and record the performances, identify area of improvements based on evaluators’ feedback and rework accordingly.
