Your ‘day to day’
As a Flavor Engineer, you will be responsible for enabling the development, qualification, deployment, and lifecycle management of flavor materials, specifications, and formulations across PMI product platforms.
More specifically, you'll
- Conduct chemical analysis and ingredient evaluation. Reformulate and optimize structured flavor formulation approaches/decisions, as well as apply sensory and chemical analysis to achieve targeted profiles.
- Ensure alignment with consumer expectations and product performance.
- Deliver final formulas, blending recipes, and technical specifications for production, develop laboratory prototypes and translate these into scalable, manufacturable solutions.
- Support harmonization and specification framework development as per request.
- Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and operational constraints.
- Define clear technical documentation and production specifications.
- Investigate quality deviations and implement corrective actions.
- Train and support global team members on specification and system processes.
- Drive harmonization and continuous improvements in specification management processes.
Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemistry.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing or Quality Assurance environment, or in external flavor houses, in food/beverages/or tobacco related sectors.
- Flexibility, critical thinking, demonstrated problem solving, analytical and communication skills.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English.
