Your ‘day to day’

 

 

As a Cigarette Designer you will develop cigarette and filter designs from concept through to production. You will design products that meet consumer expectations and deliver a consistent, superior experience in real conditions.

 

 

More specifically, you'll

 

 

  • Develop cigarette and filter prototypes aligned with defined product targets and intended consumer experience
  • Translate design concepts into practical development plans and testable solutions
  • Analyze results, understand performance drivers, and refine designs based on data
  • Ensure prototypes meet technical and analytical targets and are robust for production
  • Work closely with Markets, Product Management, Manufacturing & Quality to bring designs into production
  • Resolve technical issues and ensure consistency between design intent and manufacturing reality
  • Improve how designs are developed, tested, and delivered to ensure reliable product performance.

 

 

Who we’re looking for

 

 

  • Degree or equivalent professional experience in a technical/scientific field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Cigarette/filter design or production, Product development in FMCG
  • Sound expertise in one or more of the following areas: process and manufacturing engineering, materials science and engineering, quality and analytical roles, with strong product/process understanding
  • Experience in technical roles involving prototyping, product performance, and interaction between materials and process
  • Ability to understand cause–effect relationships between design and performance. Strong analytical thinking and comfort working with data
  • Structured approach to work and ability to follow through. Clear communication and ability to work with different teams to move work forward
  • Demonstrated expertise working through trial, data, and iteration. Ability to connect design decisions to real product performance. Ownership from problem definition to implementation
  • Ability to learn quickly and can figure things out independently. Understanding of both details and the bigger picture. Expertise to ensure challenges assumptions with data. Ability to take responsibilities and ensure deliverables/products that perform consistently for consumers
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.
