Your day to day
- Manage internal & external stakeholders to identify key business priorities, translate the business ambition into procurement strategies and actions, define category execution plans and take accountability on execution
- Develop and deploy long-range strategies and plans for category’s optimization (e.g., supply base extension / consolidation, make or buy, portfolio optimization, etc.) to ensure optimal conditions for the company in terms of supply security, quality and cost.
- Identify, assess, negotiate with and recommend vendors based on a thorough analysis of current and projected needs as well as component market trends. Investigate all possible sourcing options, short list the best scenarios and secure sustainable value for the company.
- Manage negotiation of contracts working with the respective business owners, legal and finance team and suppliers to mitigate risk and secure best in class commercial agreements
- Manage and optimize spend with external suppliers, generating impact on Cost, Cash, Agility & Resilience and Sustainability. Establish price forecasts for OB and RF budget cycles in assigned categories to support affiliate and finance.
- Develop and manage supplier relations by evaluating performance, mitigating risk, creating productivity plans and tapping into external innovation.
- Deploy relevant risk management, sustainability and innovation related strategic programs
Who we are looking for
- University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Trade or equivalent.
- Diploma from a recognized Procurement Institute is an asset.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in Procurement role(s) within category management, business partnering / key account management, strategic sourcing, governance and planning, with exposure to a multinational environment, preferably within an FMCG company.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, effective delegation and leading cross-functional teams
- Strong analytics, data driven decision making, leading change and negotiation skills.
- Fluent spoken and written English and Spanish is a must.
