Your ‘day to day’
The Head of Communications is responsible for developing strategic communication campaigns focused on external audiences and stakeholders to build public support for corporate initiatives and business strategy. This role involves protecting and enhancing the company's reputation and building trust and support for its vision through a combination of paid, earned, and owned media, events, and engagements.
Principal accountabilities
- Public Communications: Create and distribute public communications, including media releases, speeches, press conferences, and other events.
- Press Inquiries: Respond to press inquiries promptly and effectively.
- Global Public Relations Campaigns: Develop and deploy successful global public relations campaigns to engage regulators, key opinion leaders, investors, and civil society.
- Media Relationships: Coherently and effectively develop relationships with journalists and other members of the media to build knowledge and trust.
- Civil Society Engagement: Identify, nurture, and grow relationships in the civil society space.
Who we’re looking for
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in communications, public relations, or related fields
- Proven experience in developing and executing strategic communications campaigns
- Experience in managing a team and overseeing departmental operations
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with media and civil society stakeholders
