As our Commercial organisation continues to evolve, we are looking for a Senior Commercial Finance Business Partner to help drive revenue growth, value creation and strong financial performance across our Australian and New Zealand markets.
This role plays a critical role in enabling decision‑making at the heart of the business.
About the role
Reporting into senior finance leadership and partnering closely with Commercial teams, you will act as a trusted advisor, providing financial insights, analysis and strategic guidance to support both short‑term execution and long‑term business objectives.
You will take ownership of key planning cycles, revenue and margin analysis, scenario modelling and performance tracking, while ensuring strong governance, controls and continuous improvement. This is a highly visible role requiring strong commercial acumen, analytical capability and stakeholder influence.
Key responsibilities
- Drive commercial strategies and value creation initiatives, proactively identifying growth opportunities, risks and strategic trade‑offs to shape medium and long‑term business direction
- Partner with Commercial leadership as a trusted strategic advisor, influencing commercial strategy, portfolio evolution, go‑to‑market decisions and investment priorities to deliver Net Revenue and Operating Income targets
- Translate strategic priorities into forward‑looking financial plans and executable roadmaps, including business cases and support for transformation initiatives and cross‑functional projects
- Lead core financial planning cycles, including Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Operating Budget (OB), Rolling Forecasts (RF) and Long‑Range Planning, ensuring alignment between strategy, plans and execution
- Own Financial Growth Management and key commercial levers, shaping trading architectures, margin optimisation, ROI‑led investment decisions to drive performance
- Deliver forward‑looking scenario planning and financial modelling, assessing strategic initiatives and commercial trade‑offs to support decision‑making
- Drive financial impact and value management, ensuring revenue targets and cost outcomes are achieved through actionable insights, opportunity identification and performance tracking.
- Review and validate commercial and trade initiatives, monitoring execution, identifying gaps or risks and ensuring outcomes align to approved strategies
- Ensure strong financial governance, SOX compliance and operational controls, supporting commercial governance frameworks
- Drive continuous improvement across financial processes, systems, models and reporting, while supporting leadership with high‑quality insights, presentations and performance commentary
- Collaborate with and coach GBS teams, providing market and commercial insights to uplift capability and storytelling
About you
You will bring:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline; CPA / CA or equivalent preferred
- Extensive experience in commercial finance, financial planning, business partnering or management reporting
- Proven background in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and scenario analysis
- Strong understanding of revenue, margin, cost management and ROI assessment
- Experience operating within a multinational or complex commercial environment (FMCG exposure advantageous)
- Confidence partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing outcomes
- Strong analytical capability with high attention to detail and data integrity
- Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint and SAP, with Power BI or similar tools advantageous
- Solid knowledge of financial governance, SOX and internal controls
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
- A proactive, agile and solutions‑focused mindset, comfortable operating through change
- Experience coaching or guiding others (advantageous)
