We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Counsel where you will work closely with the Affiliate, Regional, and Operating Centre legal & compliance teams. Your role will involve providing high-quality, business-centric legal analysis, advice, representation, negotiation, and documentation to support our business activities and initiatives.
Your ‘day to day’:
As a Counsel, you will:
- Partner with global and regional legal teams, Senior Counsel, and business colleagues to develop strategies that minimise legal liability.
- Help business colleagues understand risks and develop alternatives to manage them.
- Gather and analyse relevant information, draft key documents, and ensure legal compliance.
- Represent the company before government agencies and support harm reduction advocacy.
- Stay current with legal developments and assist in implementing policies and procedures.
- Participate in project teams to protect legal interests and achieve objectives.
- Maintain a culture of dignity, respect, and inclusion.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- A licensed to practice law in Australia.
- At least 10 years of experience, ideally both in-house and at a major law firm.
- Background and legal experience in science, pharma, commercialisation of medical products/devices, or public health is preferred.
- The ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal, networking, public speaking, and writing skills.
- Strategic thinking and sound judgment.
- Extreme attention to detail.
