About Us
At Philip Morris International, we’re transforming our business to deliver a smoke-free future; replacing cigarettes with better alternatives for adults who would otherwise continue to smoke. In Australia, our Corporate Affairs team sits at the centre of this transformation, helping to address the urgent challenge of illicit trade and enabling Australia to move towards a smoke-free future in step with leading countries around the world.
For professionals who thrive on challenge and impact, this is a place to bring your smarts to complex issues and work alongside a high-calibre and globally connected Corporate Affairs team. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement an integrated communications plan that aligns Australian, regional, and global priorities, using data and insights to evaluate performance and guide continuous improvement.
- Create clear, persuasive content for varied audiences – including policy and position papers, media preparation, speeches, meeting and stakeholder briefs, and digital and social content that inform, influence, and align.
- Advise the Director Corporate Affairs, senior leaders, and cross-functional teams on strategic communications, leadership support, and alignment opportunities internally and externally.
- Partner with external stakeholders, advisers, and industry groups to build trusted relationships, align messaging, and coordinate initiatives that reinforce credibility and shared outcomes.
- Monitor the external environment to identify emerging issues and opportunities that inform strategy and communications planning.
About You
We’re looking for someone who has:
- 6–10 years’ experience in strategic communications, corporate affairs, or stakeholder engagement within complex or regulated environments.
- Exceptional writing, storytelling, and analytical skills; adept at translating technical or policy topics into clear, compelling content.
- Experience supporting senior leaders in stakeholder, media, and internal engagements.
- Strong judgement and the ability to manage sensitive issues with discretion and confidence.
- A collaborative mindset; comfortable working across teams, functions, and markets to achieve shared outcomes.
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, journalism, public policy, or related disciplines.
