Position Title: Commercial Planning Analyst

Philip Morris International (PMI) is seeking a Commercial Planning Analyst to deliver high-quality reporting, analysis, and insights that enable effective execution of commercial strategies. Reporting to the Manager Commercial Planning this role is responsible for maintaining business intelligence frameworks, tracking key sales indicators, and conducting strategic analysis across all operational layers. The analyst contributes to continuous improvement in reporting systems and supports commercial decision-making through timely and actionable data.
About the Role:
As Commercial Planning Analyst, you will:
Support Commercial Projects
- Support the Manager Commercial Planning in delivering key projects – particularly those linked to Route To Market (RTM) & AI Initiatives - and partner with IT to enable effective use of information systems across Commercial functions.
Deliver Performance Reporting & Business Intelligence
- Develop and maintain Power BI reporting solutions.
- Provide timely, accurate, and actionable insights at national and state levels.
- Track key sales indicators (KSIs) and business-building effectiveness.
- Conduct presentations and quarterly rhythms of results and next steps to Commercial leadership team.
Conduct Strategic Analysis & Influence Stakeholders
- Perform in-depth analysis of commercial performance (volume, share, price, profitability, field execution).
- Communicate insights to Data Insights & Analytics (DI&A) team to support tactical and strategic decision-making.
- Communicate actionable insights to commercial management to drive current and future commercial strategies
Support Strategic Commercial Planning
- Assist in developing and executing commercial strategies across Sales, Portfolio, Pricing, and Trade Execution.
- Maximise retail leverage, supporting AI initiatives to support better RTM initiatives.
- Help in creating data architecture to support Digital brain to enhance dynamic route planning and DTE initiatives.
- Help achieve volume, share, and KPI targets.
Collaborate Across Functions
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Data Architects, Data Scientists, Business Analysts, Trade activation team, National Sales, Key Accounts and AI Engineers.
- Support data-driven projects and ensure alignment with business needs.
Enhance Data Analysis & Reporting
- Partner with DI&A and IT to investigate and propose new and improved tools to assist in the effectives and efficiencies around reporting tools.
- Implement solutions to improve data analysis and reporting capabilities.
- Develop models and diagrams to represent and communicate data requirements and assets.
Maintain Data Structures & Reporting frameworks
- Establish, modify, and maintain data structures and associated components to support business intelligence systems.
- Provide a commercial strategic reporting framework where all commercial strategies are consolidated, validated, reviewed and communicated to key stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring:

- A minimum undergraduate degree in commerce, business administration, or statistics, analytics.
- At least 5+ years’ experience in business analytics.
- Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end systems knowledge.
- Proven experience in leading AI driven initiatives and working with emerging AI tools.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Strong capability in data visualization and insights framing skills to drive better, quicker and more informed decision making.
- High-level knowledge of systems such as SAPBW reporting, SAP, and ISMS.
- Experience developing and maintaining Power BI reporting solutions.
- Ability to solve complex problems using analytical and critical thinking skills. Deep understanding of commercial landscape & creating right performance metrics.
- Strong capability in conducting strategic and financial analysis across volume, share, price, profitability, and deployment analytics.
- Strong Business partnering skills.
