Your ‘day to day’

Manage, plan, lead activities of Production function in compliance to Sustainability, Quality and Legal requirements. 

Ensure full focus on achieving  all assigned KPIs "end-to-end" (from Supplier to Consumer) linked to Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Morale, following a preventive/predictive approach

Own strategy development and deployment (linked to Open+/IOS) for Production function. 

Develop and lead an integrated and high performing team following principles of OPEN+/IOS to step up the team capabilities. 

Ensure compliance to all PMI and legal standards, policies and guidelines related to Environment, Health, Safety, Sustainability to prevent personnel, asset or societal loss. 

Act and promote an interdependent and transparent safety culture fostering the utilization of preventive/predictive approach in line with Open+/IOS.

Ensure compliance to all PMI and Legal standards and guidelines related to quality of incoming materials, SFGs and FGs in line with the QMS. 

Define in cooperation with QA responsible and relevant stakeholders, the quality strategy to prevent quality incidents, to reduce and eliminate non conformities in the process and to guarantee product integrity.

Ensure the highest internal and external consumers satisfaction, through Open+/IOS tools.

Guarantee production plans adherence and high consumer service level.
 
Lead the Production function DDS to ensure timely triggers and corrective actions are closed to improve the KPIs.

Ensure the end-to-end business review by contributing to Factory strategy according to Open+/IOS (PDCA cycle).

Define the strategy to maximize all the operational KPIs to guarantee stability of internal and external process.

Is responsible for the Technical Services organization and the VSU leader in order to assure vertical start up of projects and initiatives in the production function, collaborating with the main stakeholders

Is responsible for the deployment of maintenance strategy and the codesign of actual and future processes with the aim of losses elimination

Define and lead the production function budget in line with strategy and functional zero loss journey, ensuring tracking and compliance to committed OB numbers. 

Ensure focus on delivering productivity targets by eliminating losses in processes related to uptime, DIM Waste, Yield, Overtime, R&M (repair and maintenance), utilities and environment. 

Is responsible for the strategy definition and deployment of reapplication and knowledge sharing  in the area of competence.

Coach the team to encourage a mindset of continuous improvement. 

Build an high performing team to drive PMI cultural  transformation

Guarantee development of the organization (Business Units, Tech Service,  self-sufficient teams as per Open+/IOS journey), focusing on  ownership, capabilities and leadership growth.

Builds effective networks relationships within production function and other key stakeholders across the business in order to achieve outstanding business outcomes. 

Create an environment in which each member of the team is motivated to express own talent and potential.

Communicate in timely manner on loss elimination priorities, plans and responsibilities to ensure cross-functional alignment. Share knowledge and methods to encourage and foster benchmarking, reapplication and continuous improvement.

Take responsibility for the completion of own and team training and development plan and comply with the established requirements.

Act as a Pillar Leader/Pillar Member of the assigned pillar
Develops the full year pillar plan aligned with OPEN+ Phase journey. 
Leads pillar reviews as per defined frequency. 

Actively leads pillar trainings, audits and ensures self and team capability based on step-up cards. 

Who we’re looking for

EDUCATION

-  College  /University: Bachelor/ Master in Engineering 

WORK EXPERIENCE

5 -8 years experience in production area within FMCG,  pharmaceutical or similar industry of which at least 3 years in a managerial role. 

Fluent in English, Local language (Pashto) knowledge is an asset. 

Functional Skills

Experience in Integrated Work System (IWS), DMS and related tools is an advantage
