We're looking for a Specialist Reporting & Controls Leaf to join our team. This role is based in Mardan, which is approximately 1.5 hours away from Islamabad, so relocation will not be required if you're already based in or around the region." PURPOSE

•    Leading initiatives to achieve delivery within PMI cost and capex targets
•    Influencing key operational and strategic decisions through in`dependent, data-driven insights
•    Owning the interpretation, explanation, and optimization of cost performance (Packed Leaf Price)
•    Implementing Local PMI Principles and Practices to create adequate control environment

 

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

Financial Planning & Analysis:
-    Manage planning and execution of budgeting process in order to meet VI PK financial target. 
-    Develop and present monthly performance dashboard with in-depth analysis and transparent reporting 
-    Ensure accurate accounting of all leaf-related transactions in compliance with PMI Finance Standard A-135
-    Ensure cross functional alignment and build the required alliances to have a business perspective that goes beyond sub functional silos

 

Risk & Controls:
- Assessment and implementation of process controls in accordance to PMI Principles and Practices accross Pakistan VI Leaf Operations i.e. PMI 29 (Best Practices for Vertically Integrated Leaf Markets), SOX requirement, Ethic and Compliance
- Proactively identify control gaps and lead initiatives to strengthen the control environment

 

Finance Business Partnering
-    Define critical success factors in projects, ROI of initiatives, budget allocation, risk evaluation – Constructively challenge opportunity sizing.
-    Challenge functional counterparts to improve financial performance and enable creation of innovative solutions to optimize resources.
-    Drive  investment decisions as Finance lead in projects, defining metrics and targets.
-    Assess go/no-go project decisions (business cases, stage/gate PBO).
-    Provide the necessary supervision and support in order to ensure the compliance of Affiliate Practice PK 382 Capital Assets & Leases.

 

Capability building and Functional guidance
- Serve as a key resource and subject matter expert in finance, providing guidance and mentorship to both finance team members and cross-functional stakeholders
- Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives, including training sessions, workshops, and onboarding programs to build financial acumen across the organization
- Promote best practices in financial analysis, compliance, and decision-making, ensuring consistent application of PMI standards
- Actively contribute to the development of a high-performing finance team by coaching, supporting problem-solving, and fostering continuous learning

EDUCATION

-  ACCA, CA or BBA/MBA (Finance)

WORK EXPERIENCE

-  3 to 5 years of experience preferably with FP&A and Internal Audit

SKILLS

-  Expertise in Process Risk & Controls, Costing & Budgeting
-  MS Excel
-  SAP
-  Presentations and Communication skills
