Role Summary

Monitoring is a key element of the PMI Compliance program and embedded in our Compliance Mission Statement. In addition, as our Compliance program matures and evolves, the regional and local compliance teams are increasingly tasked with managing the implementation of compliance program elements.

The Manager, Regional Compliance Monitoring & Program Management will report to Senior Manager, Compliance Monitoring Program and work closely with the Regional Compliance Officer (s) and the Local Compliance Officers to implement the Global Compliance Monitoring program, conduct data-driven program activities and provide assurance about the completeness and efficacy of local compliance programs.

 

Key Responsibilities

    • Monitoring Program
      • Lead and execution of the Global Compliance Monitoring Program at regional level, ensuring risk-based monitoring activities (e.g., compliance program assessments, transaction testing, etc.) are performed consistently and in alignment with program standards.
      • Design and maintain a risk-based monitoring plan in partnership with Regional and Local Compliance Officers, incorporating regulatory expectations, internal risk assessments, emerging risks, and prior monitoring results.
      • Support implementing and deploying standard monitoring methodologies, work programs, and testing protocols, aligned with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices.
      • Review regional monitoring results to ensure findings are well-supported, risk-ranked appropriately, and articulated clearly to support governance forums.
      • Partner with Regional and Local Compliance Officers to communication monitoring outcomes, identify root causes, and support the development of practical, sustainable remediation plans.
      • Track and report on regional remediation activities to ensure timely and effective resolution of identified gaps, escalating overdue or high-risk issues, as appropriate.
      • Analyze Regional monitoring data and trends to identify systemic issues, control weaknesses, or emerging compliance risks; recommend program enhancements based on insights.
      • Consolidate regional planning, execution and action plan deployment.
      • Support continuous improvement of monitoring tools, data analytics capabilities, and reporting processes to enhance efficiency, coverage, and quality of assurance.
      • Ensure appropriate documentation and retention of regional monitoring workpapers to support auditability and regulatory scrutiny.

 

    • Special Projects. 
      • Assist with the management and regional rollout special projects covering a broad range of Compliance risk areas, as needed.

 

Profile

  • Min 5 years’ experience preferably in Risk Management, Internal Controls or audit.
  • Compliance-experience preferred but not required.
  • University Degree or equivalent.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills. 
  • An affinity for and experience with managing information and maintaining order and oversight.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, collaborate, and communicate effectively with colleagues across organization entities/departments, geographies, and cultures. 
  • Advanced competency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other data analytics and presentation tools.
