Purpose of the Job

 

PMI has built a Cost Category Management Office based in Madrid, focusing on cross functional cost categories (Fleet, Travel, Facility Management and Corporate Real Estate) with the primary objective to deliver cost optimization targets for PMI’s.

The primary role would be to support PMI Procurement organization on the assigned categories / markets liaising mainly with CCMO Head of Fleet and the CCMO Head of Travel. Collaborate cross functional with them to achieve PMI objectives. Candidate would also interact with Regions / Markets as part of the role, understanding their current and anticipated sourcing demand or needs and execute Global sourcing activities of high complexity.

 

Your ‘day to day’

 

  • Liaise with CCMO to understand their strategies and elaborate and develop Procurement Strategy accordingly
  • Liaise with Regional Procurement / markets to develop sourcing or project strategies and to develop plans for specific projects or areas to execute or support the strategy
  • Coordinate or support contract negotiations of medium to high complexity or criticality with Legal, Business and Procurement Account / Category Management to ensure legal requirements are met and the contract is signed within agreed timelines
  • Provide recommendations and bring improvements into current practices and sourcing strategies
  • Assess market conditions, trends and indicators that enable PMI to achieve their goals
  • Based on the consolidated market intelligence provide insights, interpretations and Procurement recommendations for the supported categories
  • Independently lead the support to the assigned categories in terms of sourcing activities, develop and lead improvement implementation
  • Execute or support sourcing / competitive bidding process of high complexity with significant exposure to timely select the best possible offer which meets internal customers' requirement
  • Develop dotted remote Team that provides support to the Categories
  • Support local deployment of Global Procurement Strategies for the assigned Categories

 

Who we’re looking for

 

  • A university degree in Business Administration / Economics / Trade
  • Diploma from a recognized Procurement Institute or MBA is a plus
  • Valid EU work permit
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the area of procurement sourcing in an international / multicultural environment with a minimum 3 years’ experience in related categories
  • Ability to understand and lead the company’s business objectives, strategies and directions
  • Develop & implement actions plans accordingly
  • Leading procurement (multi)-projects
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with both internal customers and external suppliers
  • Advanced negotiation skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Team work, leadership and strong drive for results
  • Fluent English level in both oral and written
