Position Title:  Sr Manager Solution Architecture

We’re looking for a Sr Manager Solution Architecture, who will own the architectural direction, governance, and technical integrity of AI Factory solutions (70%), while ensuring quality assurance and systemic reliability across delivery (30%). The role leads the enterprise‑grade AI architecture for the AI Factory, drives reusable and secure‑by‑design patterns, governs technical coherence, and reduces architectural risk. Additionally, this position manages and develops the AI Solution Architect role, ensuring alignment, coaching, and consistent architectural excellence across the portfolio.

Key Accountabilities:

AI Factory Architecture leadership

• Define and evolve end‑to‑end AI architecture patterns, reusable components, and reference designs ensuring scalability, maintainability, and security.
• Lead architectural reviews, identify design risks early, and provide mitigation strategies.

Governance, Standards & Architectural Compliance

• Ensure all solutions comply with PMI AI Policy (PMI 44‑C) and Responsible‑by‑Design requirements; lead technical RAI checkpoints in the SDLC (data, model, deployment, monitoring).
• Drive privacy‑by‑design, threat‑modeling, and control validation; maintain auditable evidence of RAI/InfoSec compliance.                                                       

Quality Assurance Oversight

• Oversee test strategy, quality gates, automated validation, and readiness criteria to ensure reliable AI Factory releases.
• Align QA practices with architectural needs, ensuring observability, reliability, and risk‑control mechanisms.                                               

Risk Management & Continuous Improvement

• Identify architectural, operational, and security risks early; provide clear mitigation guidance and track closure.
• Run audits, post‑incident reviews, and retrospectives to strengthen QA standards and raise reliability across the platform.                                                              

AI‑Enabled QA (AI to monitor AI)

• Champion AI‑assisted quality practices (e.g., agents for policy checks, automated code review, test generation, anomaly detection).
• Implement AI‑to‑monitor‑AI patterns to detect drift, misuse signals, and reliability issues with explainability & auditability baked in.                                                

Team Leadership & Culture (AI Factory Leadership)

• Serve as an active member of the AI Factory leadership team; build a high‑performance, cross‑ETF culture that collaborates beyond team boundaries.
• Coach Solution Architecture and Testing leaders; promote documentation discipline, knowledge sharing, and continuous upskilling.                                                               

Cross‑PMI Collaboration & Stakeholder Alignment

• Collaborate with Platform Engineering, QA, InfoSec, Product, and Enterprise AI to ensure strategic coherence and unified architectural direction.

• Promote documentation discipline, architectural transparency, and effective technical communication.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Extensive experience in solution architecture for AI/ML, and collaboration with Domain and Enterprise Architecture.
• Proven leadership of architecture governance, standards, and technical risk management.
• Experience in quality frameworks, automated validation, and reliability engineering.
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration across engineering, QA, InfoSec, and enterprise technology teams.
• Prior experience managing senior technical roles (e.g., Solution Architects, Principal Engineers).

Qualifications and Education Requirements
University degree (or equivalent professional experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.

Preferred: advanced training or certifications in QA, SRE, security, cloud engineering, or compliance frameworks
