Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Philip Morris UK (Hammersmith) is seeking a National Account Manager with a strong track record of building relationships and driving multi-category account plans. As a National Account Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with key accounts and align our strategic goals with their needs. You will play a crucial role in our team, working closely with different departments to effectively implement channel and account strategies.
Responsibilities:
- You’ll be focus on generating new business growth by cultivating relationships at multiple levels with key accounts and across diverse channels, establishing high degrees of trust.
- By applying your knowledge of PMI's business and team, you’ll will uncover new opportunities and grow key account values and relationships.
- Applying your storytelling capability to unlock new business, positioning yourself as a trusted partner who leads and influences key account buyers regarding broader category insights.
- You’ll be negotiating deals with longer-term value aligned with account and channel strategies.
- You will be driving decision-making by using business and industry insights.
- Implement and deliver approved multi-category channel strategies within your defined account portfolio.
- You’ll develop and implement multi-category trading agreements that drive market share growth through the utilization of programs, trade activities, activations, and resource deployment.
- Through detailed performance analysis and trend indentification you will proactively uncover new business opportunities to build and grow a multi account portfolio
- As part of this role, you’ll regularly communicate with your line manager every month to review performance in relation to agreed objectives and ensure adherence to company standards.
- You’ll be accountable for the accuracy of account submissions relating to budget, volume, and margin retention.
- Last but not least, you’ll ensure complete adherence to all PMI policies and procedures, as well as the Guidebook to Success.
About you:
- You are someone with proven experience in National Account Management, with a strong track record of winning and growing new business, ideally in an FMCG or other fast paced environment, and nd who brings an entrepreneurial, hunter‑led mindset to opportunity identification and conversion.
- You have demonstrated success in building multi-level client relationships from prospect stage, nurturing them through often long and complex sales cycles to secure new wins and drive sustained business growth across a developing portfolio.
- You can demonstrate your experience in vendor management and consumer & B2B deployment, using these capabilities to unlock new commercial opportunities to deliver effective sales strategies.
- You are a confident, persuasive and resilient communicator, skilled in client communication, objection handling and dispute resolution, maintaining momentum and motivation to progress and convert new business conversations.
- You have a strong understanding of account onboarding and activation, enabling smooth transitions from new business wins to fully activated, value generating partnerships.
- You are well versed in key account sales processes and excel in crafting and delivering compelling stories that influence buyers, open doors and convert new business opportunities.
- You are someone who can apply their expertise in multi-category deployment to contribute to business expansion and can collaborate with team members from different departments to ensure smooth operations and achieve optimal outcomes.
