We’re looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Internal Communications (R&D), who will provide strategic communications leadership to global and regional C-suite executives and their leadership teams. This role is pivotal in bridging leadership and employees, ensuring clear, consistent, and inspiring communication that drives business priorities, strengthens engagement, and supports talent retention.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead and oversee a function or cross-functional area comprising multiple teams, with direct leadership through Managers and Senior Managers.
- Drive collaboration and alignment across functions, ensuring teams work effectively together while providing strategic guidance and fostering leadership development within the function.
- Balance operational and strategic priorities, ensuring excellence in day-to-day delivery while actively contributing to and shaping long-term functional strategy.
- Make critical operational decisions to ensure teams achieve objectives, deliver high-quality outcomes, and meet business goals.
We’re looking for someone with:
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Significant experience (typically 8–12+ years) in internal communications, corporate communications, or a related discipline, ideally within a global and matrixed organization.
- Proven track record of partnering with senior executives (C-suite level) to shape and deliver strategic communication programs.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams, including managing Managers and/or Senior Managers.
- Background in R&D, healthcare, life sciences, or complex technical environments is highly desirable.
