We are looking for a Sr Manager Internal Communications - Finance and Global Business Solutions, who will serve as a strategic Global Internal Communications partner to the Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and the VP Global Business Solutions (GBS), and their leadership teams.
With an AI-first mindset, this role leads the planning and delivery of internal communications across Finance and GBS—driving leadership visibility, compelling storytelling, and effective multichannel engagement, underpinned by data and continuous measurement.
Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, the role translates complex strategic priorities into clear, engaging communications that strengthen employee understanding of PMI’s vision, strategy, and performance.
It plays a key role in surfacing and shaping impactful narratives that highlight how Finance and GBS enable business outcomes—reinforcing their critical contribution to organizational success and driving employee connection to the company’s strategic direction.
Role Responsibilities
Communication Strategy & Delivery
- Define and lead a holistic internal communications strategy for the Group CFO and GBS, aligned to strategic priorities.
- Develop and execute high-impact communication plans that build understanding, engagement, and connection to key objectives.
- Ensure messaging is clear, targeted, and effectively sequenced across initiatives and audiences.
Strategic Counsel & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a trusted advisor to the Group CFO, VP GBS, and their leadership teams, providing counsel on messaging, timing, and employee impact.
- Build strong senior stakeholder relationships to enable proactive planning and alignment across Finance and GBS.
- Translate complex financial and operational topics into clear, accessible communications for diverse audiences.
Content, Channels & Editorial Planning
- Own and deliver the editorial strategy for Finance and GBS, ensuring consistent, integrated narratives across all channels.
- Oversee the creation of high-quality content (e.g. leadership messaging, presentations, videos, Q&As, and digital content).
- Manage key channels and platforms (including Finance and GBS hubs), ensuring effective audience segmentation and engagement.
Change & Transformation Communications
- Lead communications for transformation programs and business changes, ensuring employees are informed, confident, and engaged.
- Plan and deliver communications for organizational updates, new processes, systems, and performance cycles.
Internal Communications Leadership & Innovation
- Champion best practice in internal communications, contributing to frameworks, standards, and capability building across the organization.
- Drive continuous improvement through innovative, insight-led approaches, including the adoption of AI-enabled tools.
- Strengthen employee connection to PMI’s strategy, purpose, and culture.
Measurement & Insights
- Define and track KPIs to measure communication effectiveness and employee understanding.
- Use data and insights to evaluate impact and continuously improve communication strategies and outcomes.
We are looking for someone with:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, business, finance, or a related field, and/or equivalent professional experience.
Work Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in internal communications or relevant strategic communication fields.
- Experience partnering with senior leaders in a global, matrixed organization.
- Experience communicating complex or technical content in an accessible manner.
- Proven success in developing and implementing strategic communication and editorial plans.
- Experience supporting enterprise transformation programs.
- Strong proficiency with internal communication platforms and content management tools.
