Your Impact
As Engineering Capabilities Manager, you will define and lead PMI's engineering capability strategy, ensuring our teams have the skills, knowledge, and future-ready capabilities needed to support business transformation and long-term success.
You will identify emerging capability needs, monitor technology and industry trends, develop innovative learning solutions, and foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain PMI's Engineering Capabilities roadmap aligned to business priorities.
- Identify future capability requirements through technology and industry trend analysis.
- Translate strategic priorities into capability-building initiatives.
- Build partnerships with universities, industry networks, startups, and learning providers.
- Benchmark engineering capabilities against leading organizations and apply best practices.
- Lead the Engineering Academy and capability development team.
- Drive modern learning approaches, including digital, blended, experiential, and on-the-job learning.
- Partner with technical experts and senior stakeholders to deliver capability programs.
- Promote a strong learning culture and support change initiatives.
- Define the knowledge, skills, tools, and infrastructure required for future products and manufacturing strategies.
- Develop capability plans and assess delivery through internal development, recruitment, external partners, suppliers, or specialist expertise.
Who We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Significant experience in engineering, capability development, transformation, or organizational learning.
- Experience leading teams and complex cross-functional programmes.
- Strong knowledge of capability frameworks, learning ecosystems, and modern learning methodologies.
- Ability to translate business priorities into actionable capability plans.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Knowledge of AI, Industry 4.0, automation, advanced manufacturing, and sustainability.
- Strong communication, project management, and change management skills.
