We’re looking for a Sr Manager, Signal Intelligence & Rapid Response Optimization, who will lead the design, rollout, and continuous improvement of PMI’s Rapid Outreach and Response (ROAR) system across multiple global regions. This role will act as both program architect and project manager, driving innovation in rapid detection and response through AI‑enabled automation, improved signal quality, faster detection, and smarter workflows. The role combines global ownership of the ROAR architecture with hands‑on regional support, ensuring high operational readiness across Regions 1, 2, and 4. It also includes real‑time operational responsibility, working closely with Legal, Compliance, and regional teams to detect, validate, and respond to issues while feeding regional insights back into global system improvements.
Key Accountabilities:
A. Global Monitoring, Architecture & AI Innovation
- Define and evolve PMI’s global monitoring and early‑warning architecture, including workflows, triage logic, risk signals, and integration with ROAR.
- Lead the roadmap for AI‑enabled signal filtering, prioritization, and process automation to improve detection speed and quality.
- Partner with global stakeholders (Communications Strategy, Central Affairs AI, Crisis Communications) to ensure alignment with enterprise strategies.
- Manage external vendors and solution providers, ensuring tools meet user needs, governance requirements, and operational realities.
- Establish performance frameworks (KPIs, dashboards) to measure effectiveness and drive continuous optimisation.
- Ensure full compliance with PMI data privacy, legal, and regulatory standards.
- Continuously scan emerging technologies and methodologies for reputational risk detection and early warning.
B. AI‑Enabled Solution Design & Delivery
- Lead end‑to‑end design and delivery of AI‑enabled detection, triage, and response solutions, whether bespoke, adapted, or procured.
- Translate regional and market user needs into clear functional requirements, workflows, and priority features.
- Oversee vendor delivery, including scoping, sprint planning, testing, and acceptance.
- Ensure seamless integration with existing CA knowledge bases, approved narratives, compliance frameworks, and IT governance.
- Manage data ingestion, UAT, pilot rollouts, and feedback loops to support iterative improvement and scalable deployment.
C. Regional Deployment, Capability & Market Support (Regions 1, 2 & 4)
- Support regional and market deployment of ROAR, ensuring adoption, governance compliance, and integration into local ways of working.
- Coordinate training, workshops, and simulations with Capability Building and regional CA teams.
- Conduct market maturity assessments and provide structured feedback to strengthen readiness and capability over time.
- Act as the primary liaison between central Rapid Response teams and regional CA Communications.
D. Operational Rapid Response Responsibilities (Regions 1, 2 & 4)
- Monitor, validate, and assess emerging issues in real time, defining escalation and response pathways.
- Coordinate closely with Legal, Compliance, and regional teams to secure approvals and manage risk.
- Develop and maintain response materials, including assessments, talking points, Q&As, and media responses.
- Track execution of agreed actions and maintain structured feedback loops (post‑action reviews, surveys, interviews) to inform ongoing system improvements.
E. Team Contribution & Ways of Working
- Actively contribute to the Comms & Engagement team and the wider Central Corporate Affairs community.
- Serve as an internal ambassador for ROAR, supporting engagement, adoption, and continuous improvement.
We’re looking for someone with:
- 8–12 years of experience in Corporate Affairs, Public Affairs, Communications, Issues Management, Digital Intelligence, Monitoring & Insights, or relevant roles within multinational or matrixed organizations.
- Demonstrated experience in designing, improving, or managing complex architectures, workflows, or operational intelligence systems.
- Proven ability to translate user needs into structured functional requirements for AI or tech teams.
- Experience working with AI‑enabled processes, automation workflows, triage logic, and content‑generation or compliance‑checking tools.
- Track record in vendor management, including scope definition, SoWs, sprint cycles, acceptance testing, and system rollouts.
- Experience running UAT cycles, coordinating pilots with markets, and iterating solutions based on structured user feedback.
