We’re looking for a Sr Manager, Rapid Response Deployment & Market Readiness, who will lead the rollout, improvement, and day‑to‑day effectiveness of PMI’s Rapid Outreach and Response (ROAR) system, with a primary focus on Europe. The Senior Manager shapes the global playbook and operating model for rapid response, supports European markets in adopting and strengthening their readiness, and steps in operationally to detect and manage emerging issues in real time. Working closely with Legal, Compliance, and regional and market Corporate Affairs teams, the role ensures fast, accurate, and coordinated responses that protect PMI’s reputation and enable proactive engagement, including effective newsjacking.
Key Accountabilities:
A. International Deployment & System Development
- Own and evolve the ROAR playbook, including SOPs, prioritization models, decision trees, and operating principles for RAPID teams.
- Drive continuous improvement through benchmarking, readiness assessments, capability gap analysis, and structured market and stakeholder feedback.
- Build and maintain the Response Content Library, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with approved narratives and risk guidance.
B. Continuous System Learning & Optimization
- Establish and run structured feedback loops (post‑action reviews, surveys, insights reviews) to identify system gaps and emerging needs.
- Translate insights into tangible improvements to monitoring processes, triage models, and AI‑enabled workflows, in collaboration with central optimization leads.
C. Capability Building & Workforce Readiness
- Design and deliver regional training, learning paths, and simulations in partnership with Capability Building and Europe CA teams.
- Ensure consistent adoption of best practices and alignment with global frameworks across markets.
D. Regional Deployment Support & Operations (Europe)
- Lead ROAR deployment across Europe, supporting onboarding, adoption, governance compliance, and maturity progression.
- Act as the primary link between international Rapid Response teams and Europe CA/Comms.
- Monitor and assess emerging issues, coordinate escalation and approvals (Legal, Compliance), and develop response materials.
- Track execution, provide performance feedback, and capture lessons learned to strengthen regional readiness.
E. Team Contribution
- Contribute actively to the Comms & Engagement team and act as an internal ambassador for ROAR and rapid response ways of working.
We’re looking for someone with:
- 7–10 years of experience in Corporate Affairs, Public Affairs, Communications, International Relations, or a closely related field in a multinational or matrixed environment.
- Demonstrated experience in issues management, rapid response, reputation management, or crisis adjacent functions.
- Strong experience in project management: governance, stakeholder alignment, timelines, and cross functional coordination.
- Experience monitoring emerging issues, validating information with multiple stakeholders, and drafting responses under time constraints.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
Master’s degree preferred (e.g., Business Administration, International Affairs, Strategic Communications, Public Policy, Crisis/Issues Management, Organizational Development).
