We are looking for Senior Counsel expert in providing strategic and operational guidance on Life Science topics and lead advisor on the development and commercialization of innovative products across industries and categories (consumers, wellness, and healthcare). With responsibilities to counsel on legal areas and matters of varying and frequently high complexity, lead projects as assigned, and drive best practices and efficiencies in the delivery of legal services. Apt at rendering legal advice that capably embeds the legal requirements and considerations within the overall business, regulatory, and reputational frameworks.
Your day to day:

Support the research, development, and commercial deployment of the group portfolio of healthcare, wellness, consumer health, and consumer products

Partner with the business to support projects and matters with a view to mitigate potential liabilities and risks and enable execution.

Identify and address legal issues and risks, present clear recommendations across the relevant areas of law.

Counsel on advertising and promotion of commercial materials and on scientific communication, publications and briefs. Advise on messages and review materials in these areas for effective risk mitigation regarding the substantive topics and communication.

Counsel, draft and negotiate a wide range of development and commercialization agreements and legal documents, including for clinical trials, collaborations, license, and distribution agreements, with the ability to address important legal risks supporting sound business objectives.

Stay current with legal developments, best practices and benchmarks in the noted areas of law and supported product classes and assists internal clients in implementing policies and procedures in response thereto.

Closely and timely cooperate with other PMI COEs, in particular the Litigation, IP, Product Development, Regulatory, Privacy, and Commercial Deployment law teams.

Drive and contribute to the adoption of best practices and solutions to improve efficiencies in the delivery of legal services, with focus on contracting, legal entities management, and knowledge management, leveraging technology and innovation.

Always use a proactive and solution-oriented approach, and mature and collaborative mindset apt to sustain trust and collaboration with the business, colleagues and functions.
Who we are looking for:
- Expertise in dietary and food supplements, energy drinks, and similar product categories, combined with expertise in regulatory frameworks (EMA/FDA) and healthcare compliance

Juris doctor and licensed to practice law.

At least 3-5 years of practice in a law firm.

At least 7-10 years overall of legal experience in a Life Science, healthcare, and consumer products environment, with focus on complex matters; preferably in house and with major law firms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and mitigate legal risk associated with products under assessment and development.
- A passion for collaboration and consensus, a mindset of learning and grow, and comfort dealing with and managing complexity and a variety of legal and regulatory regimes.
- Drives the appropriate level of external benchmarking and implementation of best practices and solutions.
- Proven ability to negotiate complex legal agreements and matters, prioritize and deliver under competing priorities and advance efficiencies.
