For our External Affairs team in Lausanne, Switzerland, we are looking for a Manager Fiscal & Regulatory Affairs, who will develop and implement an integrated and comprehensive regulatory and fiscal strategy for our business in Switzerland.

The role is part of the market’s EA team responsible for the company’s regulatory and fiscal objectives and strategies to maintain and strengthen a sustainable business environment for the commercialization of the market’s multi category portfolio.

As well as developing the long-range strategic vision of PM Switzerland to address multiple regulatory and fiscal challenges and building the intellectual foundation for argumentation used with multiple external stakeholders at federal and cantonal level. The jobholder develops and manages internal and external resources to accomplish these tasks.

Principal accountabilities:

Fiscal

  • Develop excise tax strategies and objectives benefitting PM Switzerland's business objectives in conjunction with central and regional fiscal teams. Lead implementation of respective plans.
  • Maintain and enhance relevant stakeholder networks
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Governments' fiscal policies
  • Consistently engage and interact with relevant internal as well as external stakeholders at Federal and Cantonal level.
  • Comprehensive management of external consultant.
  • Drafting of company position papers and respective submissions.

Regulatory

  • Represent the company and drive for impact in several business & trade associations.
  • Drive specific topics in trade & business associations.
  • Consistently engage and interact with relevant internal as well as external stakeholders at Federal and Cantonal level.
  • Comprehensive management of external consultant.
  • Drafting of company position papers and respective submissions.
  • Provide comprehensive support to central entities on international trade matters.

Business Support

  • Provide advice to Management Team on all relevant fiscal and regulatory topics.
  • Provide expertise and support to several business units.

Supporting corporate communication

  • Provide expertise and content on relevant Fiscal and Regulatory matters.

We’re looking for someone with:

· Proficient German, French and English language skills both spoken and written, Italian would be a plus.

· Strong interpersonal and analytical skills, agility, resilience, outcome orientation.

· Master’s degree in Law, Political Science, Economics, Finance, Business or related fields.

· Related work experience (10 years +)

· Fiscal / Government / External Affairs (market, region, HQ) in highly regulated consumer goods.

· Strong experience in fiscal and regulatory affairs.

· Experience / understanding of business development / commercial.

· Existing external stakeholder network at Federal level.

· Through understanding/experience of the interplay between policy & politics in legislative processes.

· Ability to develop and prepare impactful issue papers, advocacy materials and executive-level presentations.

· Ability to analyze issues and develop logical, customer-centric solutions, and distil into a concise, comprehensible, and impactful narrative.

· Good business understanding paired with excellent project management skills.

· Ability to manage complexity and collaboration with numerous diverse cross-functional teams.
