Your ‘day to day’

As the Manager Novel Space you will support the exploration and shaping of new growth opportunities beyond existing categories, as well as contribute to end‑to‑end exploration efforts by structuring ambiguity, synthesizing insights across consumer, science, technology, and business lenses, and translating early signals and hypotheses into clearly framed opportunity spaces, new value propositions, and decision‑ready materials.

More specifically, you'll

• Identify, analyse, and frame early signals, trends, and hypotheses to support the definition of new opportunity spaces beyond existing categories.
• Support the design and structuring of discovery and exploration work, including learning objectives, exploration plans, and key assumptions to be tested.
• Synthesize consumer, science, technology, and business insights into clear opportunity narratives, early value propositions, and decision‑ready materials.
• Contribute to strategic sensemaking by consolidating learnings across initiatives, maintaining coherence with Novel Spaces strategy, and supporting prioritisation discussions.
• Prepare clear, structured materials to support internal alignment, senior reviews, and governance moments.
• Support the development and application of strategic tools, innovation methodologies, processes, and ways of working that enable effective exploration under uncertainty.

Who we’re looking for

• Master’s degree in a relevant field such as business, strategy, design, innovation, engineering, social sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience, with demonstrated progression in scope, autonomy, and complexity of work, in areas such as innovation, strategy, product or service design, R&D exploration, or adjacent fields (e.g., innovation labs, foresight teams, venture studios, accelerators, consultancies, or startup environments).
• Demonstrated ability to operate at the intersection of consumer understanding, science and technology, and business strategy, contributing to early‑stage opportunity assessment and exploration.
• Sound experience synthesizing complex and ambiguous inputs into clear insights, opportunity narratives, early value propositions, and decision‑ready materials for senior stakeholders.
• Strong design‑thinking and problem‑structuring mindset, with comfort operating in uncertainty and shaping work where paths, data, and outcomes are not predefined.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and areas, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
