We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Category Manager – Consumer Health to join our New Business Commercial Ecosystem team. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of procurement, product innovation, and life sciences in a fast-paced, global environment.

Your purpose –

As Category Manager, you will be responsible for emerging procurement categories that support the development of new products in the wellness, healthcare, and life sciences sectors. You’ll collaborate with R&D, product development, and external partners to drive innovation, optimize spend, and ensure timely delivery of high-impact solutions.

What You’ll Do –

• Strategic Partnership & Collaborator Engagement:
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand business needs and timelines. Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring procurement is involved early in the product development lifecycle.
• Category Strategy & Execution:
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with evolving business needs. Lead vendor selection, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
• Identify and engage with innovative suppliers, including startups and research institutions. Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing to support PMI’s smoke-free vision.
• Operational Excellence:
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and best practices. Leverage digital sourcing tools to improve efficiency and transparency.
• Capability Building:
• Support team development through mentoring, training, and knowledge sharing. Stay ahead of industry trends and contribute to digital transformation initiatives

Who We’re Looking For –

• A University degree in Science, Economics, Finance, or Supply Chain Management.
• Validated experience in procurement, ideally within life sciences, pharma, or wellness sectors.
• Experience with new product or technology introductions (NPI).
• Strong project and people leadership skills.
• Strategic problem solver with hands-on execution capabilities.
• Proficient in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Proficiency in tools such as SAP, Scout, Sievo, and Microsoft Office.
