Purpose of the role

 

As part of the PMI Corporate Treasury department, you will support the management, investment and governance of PMI's pension plans worldwide. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will contribute to supporting strategic pension initiatives and help ensure strong financial oversight and governance across our global retirement programs.

Your day-today:

 

Pension Projects & Plan Management

  • Assist in the review of pension plan designs and funding arrangements to help optimize retirement outcomes while managing pension-related risks
  • Coordinate with local teams, external consultants, trustees, insurers, and service providers on pension-related projects
  • Contribute to the selection and monitoring of pension service providers
  • Monitor legal, regulatory, and market developments affecting pension plans               

 

Investments & Financial Oversight

  • Support the monitoring of investment performance across Defined Benefit (DB) and Defined Contribution (DC) pension plans
  • Assist in the preparation of investment reviews and reporting materials for pension and investment committees
  • Contribute to the analysis of investment strategies, asset allocation studies, and risk management initiatives
  • Work with external investment consultants and asset managers to collect and analyze investment information and recommendations
  • Participate in the assessment of new investment opportunities and pension risk mitigation solutions
  • Contribute to Asset Liability Management (ALM) studies and funding analyses

 

 

Actuarial valuation, Monitoring, Governance & Reporting

  • Support annual actuarial valuation activities and prepare global key actuarial assumptions
  • Assist in the review of pension accounting results under US GAAP and other relevant accounting standards
  • Support the monitoring of funding levels, cash flows, pension expenses, and investment performance across global pension plans
  • Assist with quarterly and year-end financial reporting activities, including budget forecasts, pension contributions, and disclosures (10K)
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and analyses for senior management and governance committees
  • Help maintain strong governance frameworks and documentation for pension plans worldwide

 

 

Who we are looking for:

 

  • Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3–6 years of professional experience in Finance. Exposure to pension and retirement benefits, actuarial consulting or institutional investments would be a valuable asset
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn about pensions, investments, and financial markets
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and organizational skills. Ability to challenge status quo and present clear recommendations
  • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across functions of the organization
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English
