Purpose:

The Product & Physical Design Intern supports the design team in the development of product concepts, visual assets, and physical design solutions. This role provides hands-on exposure to the end-to-end design process, contributing to research, concept generation, and prototype activities while developing skills in a professional design environment.


Background:

· Role 100% dedicated to design

· Reports to a Head of Packaging Design role

 

Accountability: - Support the development of product and physical design concepts across ongoing projects. - Assist with design research, benchmarking, and material exploration to inform design decisions. - Prepare sketches, visual concepts, presentations, and supporting design documentation. - Contribute to prototype preparation, testing, and review activities. - Collaborate with designers and cross-functional teams to support project delivery. - Maintain organised design files and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Qualifications & skills:

- Currently pursuing a degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.

- Strong interest in product and physical design.

- Good visual communication skills with attention to detail.

- Familiarity with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, and CAD and other software.

- Strong understanding and ability to use AI tools in a design context.

- Proactive, curious, and willing to learn in a collaborative team environment.
