RISE TO THE CHALLENGE

Philip Morris Kuwait is looking for a Trade Development Executive to join the team. As a Trade Development Executive, you will be part of the Commercial Operations team, reporting to the Territory Supervisor.

The Territory Executive role is responsible for driving in-market execution across a defined territory by ensuring strong retail presence, excellent merchandising standards, and effective distributor collaboration to achieve commercial objectives.

 

YOUR ‘DAY TO DAY’

Territory & Field Execution

  • Manage a defined territory covering multiple retail outlets, with a focus on high-priority locations
  • Execute route plans through regular visits to assigned stores
  • Ensure strong presence and consistent performance across all assigned outlets

Retail & Distributor Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers and distributors
  • Secure visibility agreements and in-store execution opportunities
  • Conduct periodic visits to distributor locations to support execution and identify growth opportunities

In-Market Execution & Merchandising Excellence

  • Ensure full compliance with planograms and merchandising standards
  • Monitor stock levels, product availability, and overall merchandising quality in outlets
  • Drive high-quality execution across all points of sale

Opportunity Identification & Expansion

  • Identify opportunities for product placement, visibility, and expansion in key outlets
  • Focus on growth within high-weighted and priority locations

Team Oversight

  • Lead and oversee merchandisers within the territory (dotted-line management)
  • Provide guidance to ensure consistent execution standards across the market

Data Analysis & Performance Tracking

  • Collect distributor and market data on a regular basis
  • Analyze performance and generate structured reports and visual insights
  • Use data-driven insights to inform actions and improve market execution

Performance Review & Stakeholder Alignment

  • Participate in bi-weekly market visits with the Head of Department
  • Review territory performance and align on priorities and next steps

 

 WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in field sales, FMCG, trade marketing, or a similar commercial role
  • Experience in FMCG, retail, or distributor-led environments is preferred
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken), Arabic is an advantage
  • Candidate MUST have a valid Kuwait transferable residency and Kuwait driving license
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to analyze data and turn insights into clear reports and presentations
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and results orientation
