Purpose of the Role:

We’re looking for a Business Unit Manager to join our expanding plant in Kunta Hora.  In this role, you will:

• Manage, plan, and lead activities of the assigned business unit(s) in compliance with Sustainability, Quality, and Legal requirements.
• Ensure full focus on achieving all assigned KPIs "end-to-end" (from Supplier to Consumer) linked to Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Morale, following a preventive/predictive approach
• Collaborate with the Production Manager on the strategy development and deployment (linked to Open+/IOS) for the business unit.
• Develop and lead an integrated and high-performing team following the principles of OPEN+/IOS to step up the team's capabilities.

Your ‘day to day’:

SUSTAINABILITY

• Ensure compliance with all PMI and legal standards, policies, and guidelines related to Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability to prevent personnel, asset, or societal loss.
• Act and promote an interdependent and transparent safety culture fostering the utilization of preventive/predictive approach in line with Open+/IOS

QUALITY:

• Ensure compliance with all PMI and Legal standards and guidelines related to the Quality of incoming materials, SFGs, and FGs in line with the QMS.
• Proactively leads, in cooperation with QA responsible and relevant stakeholders, the quality program to prevent quality incidents, and reduce and eliminate non-conformities in the process and product integrity.
• Ensure the highest internal and external consumers satisfaction, through Open+/IOS tools

DELIVERY:

• Guarantee production plan adherence and high consumer service level for the assigned business unit(s).
• Lead the business unit DDS to ensure timely triggers and corrective actions are closed to improve the KPIs.
• Ensure the end-to-end business review for the business units by contributing to the Production function strategy according to Open+/IOS (PDCA cycle).
• Responsible for vertical start-up of projects and initiatives in the production lines

COST:

• Ensure the end-to-end business review for the business unit by contributing to the Production function strategy according to Open+/IOS (PDCA cycle).
• Ensure focus on delivering productivity targets by eliminating losses in processes related to uptime, DIM Waste, Yield, Overtime, R&M (repair and maintenance), utilities, and environment.
• Guarantee standardization, reapplication, and knowledge-sharing of best practices and standards and propose new solutions to eliminate production losses.

MORALE:

• Perform regular coaching to develop the capabilities of the team on the daily management systems according to IMS and to support the personnel skill/technical development of each team member to build ownership and team autonomy.
• Guarantee development of the organization as per Open+/IOS journey, focusing on ownership, capabilities, and leadership growth.
• Led the development of the autonomous/self-sufficient team as per the Open+/IOS journey, focusing on ownership, capabilities, and leadership growth.
• Build effective network relationships within production lines and other key stakeholders across the business to achieve outstanding business outcomes.
• Create an environment in which each member of the team is motivated to express their talent and potential.
• Communicate promptly on loss elimination priorities, plans, and responsibilities to ensure cross-functional alignment. Share knowledge and methods to encourage and foster benchmarking, reapplication, and continuous improvement.
• Take responsibility for the completion of own and team training and development plan and comply with the established requirements.

Who We’re Looking For: 

• College /University: Bachelor/ master’s in engineering, Business Administration, Management, or equivalent education
• 5 -8 years experience in production area within FMCG, pharmaceutical, or similar industry of which at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Fluent in English and Czech languages.
• Strong people leadership, influencing, collaboration, and networking skills;
• A creative and analytical problem-solving capability with a think ‘outside the box’ approach when encountering challenges.
• Proven independent self-starter, able to deal with ambiguity.
