Your ‘day to day’

 

A Key Account Executive contributes to the growth of Philip Morris Malaysia market share through establishing and maintaining professional and profitable trade relations with Key Accounts in order to achieve optimal distribution, full availability, recommended pricing, quality display and generate effective trials through Retailer Engagement.

 

You will also be responsible to execute the below points;

 

1. PO Based Volume Management

  • Ensure accurate and timely communication of Purchase Orders to distributors, in accordance with approved volumes and established timelines.
  • Manage endtoend Purchase Order execution by closely monitoring order processing, delivery, and fulfillment to ensure compliance with agreed quantities and service level standards.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and uptodate Purchase Order and volume records in designated systems or databases to support reporting, audit requirements, and management reference.
  • Analyze sales performance data, including IMS and Offtakes, to assess the quality, effectiveness, and business impact of Purchase Order execution across assigned accounts.
  • Prepare and deliver timely and accurate Purchase Order and volume performance reports to support informed internal decisionmaking, planning, and performance reviews.
  • Identify potential business growth opportunities arising from Purchase Order trends and execution insights, and support the Key Account Manager in developing and pursuing new sales opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement by proactively proposing and implementing enhancements to Purchase Order management processes, leveraging data analytics and digital tools such as Power BI, Copilot, and other emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency, visibility, and execution effectiveness.

 

2. Budget Management & Compliance Audit Management

  • Work closely with the Key Account Manager to support effective budget planning, ensure accuracy of monthly spending reports, and submit timely accruals, while promoting responsible utilization of allocated account budgets.
  • Track and monitor pay for performance and merchandising expenditures, and clearly communicate spending status, risks, and updates to relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Lead and collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance audit readiness within systems, and that required updates and communications are completed within stipulated timelines prior to deployment.
  • Maintain and support compliance tracking through Power BI or similar reporting tools to ensure transparency, visibility, and traceability of compliance status.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure all manual compliance audit documentation is properly filed, maintained, and retrievable within the designated SharePoint repository.
  • Ensure compliance audit reports are accurately submitted to key accounts to support invoicing and timely payment processing for all Key Account merchandising contract payments.

 

3. Key Account Activation & Planogramming

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to collect cycle activity information and support the development of cycle decks for communication and deployment to the commercial teams.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Planning team to ensure system readiness for upcoming cycle activities, including price list readiness and availability of required reporting.
  • Partner with Brand and Content teams to ensure planogram alignment across key accounts, and support timely planogram updates for internal deployment and customer communication prior to each new cycle.
  • Support ad‑hoc activation requirements for key accounts, including coordination, tracking, and preparation of related reports, as guided by the Key Account Manager.
  • Provide ad‑hoc support to the Commercial team for festival appreciation token preparation and guest list compilation.
  • Assist the Key Account Manager with ad‑hoc activation initiatives and other related reporting or operational support as required.

 

4. Corporate Image, Policies and Procedures

  • Build and maintain solid image for Philip Morris as responsible corporation and preferred business partner, through providing professional and high-quality services to the trade, following Business Conduct policies, and performing activities in line with PM Marketing Code.
  • Continuously promote and provide consultancy to the trade on the principles and objectives of Youth Smoking Prevention Program.
  • Adhere to PM policies and procedures and maintain good condition of all company equipment and property.

 

Who we’re looking for

  • Minimum 2 years working experience within FMCG environment/ Retail experience/ knowledge.
  • A natural influencer with strong planning skills, analytical skills and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrate solid stakeholder management skill, relationship building skills, conflict resolution skills and presentation skills.
  • Microsoft Office savvy, especially Excel & PowerBI.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven exposure in project management environment with good problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred business degree with major in HR, Business Admin or Business Management. Other relevant Degrees can also be considered that relates to the fields of Marketing/ Communication/ Advertising or equivalent to it.
