We are currently looking for our next Head of Zone and this role will cover North and East Coast Malaysia.

Key Accountabilities

  • To be the principal person responsible in the assigned zone to lead, collaborate and engage teams, business partners and stakeholders with a collective vision to deliver business goals/objectives.
  • To determine & lead the Business Direction & Strategy Implementation of assigned zone in line with national commercial plans.
  • To determine, decide & lead on new business opportunities / partnerships in assigned zone for CC / RRP expansion / growth.
  • To determine annual commercial plan for the assigned zone and manage financials including revenue, cost, sales and distribution expenses, T&E and other expenses that contributes to the zone's P&L statement.
  • To regularly build and engage collaborators, partners, key retailers & distributors; and determine plans to address challenges / concerns. Explore relevant trade engagement platforms, value added trade initiatives and/or mutually beneficial business outcomes.
  • To coach and develop team for future roles / succession planning and optimize team's performance by developing a highly capable and engaged team within the Zone.
  • To continuously manage performance / deliverables of team and partners financial / volume / users targets.
  • To be principal change champion for transformation in assigned zone.
  • To ensure compliance within the zone to all PMI Principles & Practices, Code of Conduct, Commercial processes, local and Federal laws.
  • Developing digital strategy and roadmap for the zone with the goal of growing digital savviness in the trade.

 

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Business Administration, Business Management or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience preferably in FMCG industries.
  • At least 5 years in Sales and 3 years in Distribution.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in people management.
  • Coaching and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Financial acumen & analytical skills.
  • Planning skills (budgeting, business cycles)
  • Strong PC literacy with Microsoft office
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements
