WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

We are seeking a skilled Tech-Lead/Senior Software engineer with hands-on experience in building, deploying, and managing cloud-based applications and communication systems. You will work closely with the Product Owner, our development and operations teams to design and implement scalable cloud solutions that meet our business needs.

 

The ideal candidate would be an enthusiastic self-starter with deep expertise in complex back-end structures capable of working with different integrated systems and will have,

 

  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a senior software developer or Tech Lead, and experience in developing cloud-enabled products
  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s – ideally in IT related field would be an asset
  • Demonstrated ability in building, launching and growing products
  • Experience in software design patterns and architectures, Hands-on experience with the AWS cloud solution and services (VPC, EC2, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM) 
  • Experienced in Node.js (Javascript / Typescript) and with a basic understanding of SQL among others
  • Knowledge of gen AI architecture, AWS Bedrock, conversational agents, chatbots
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python and/or JavaScript
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform)
  • Knowledge of industry standard system integration techniques and protocols 
  • Extensive experience in developing, maintaining and running APIs
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch.
  • Experience in software development methodologies, namely Agile practices
  • Professional Agile certification (Product owner, Scale, Scrum, Agile Leadership) a plus
  • Ability to deliver results in global, matrixed environments comprised of internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven track record in fast-paced and ambiguous environments
  • Organizational skills to effectively manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Good communication skills, should be able to articulate thoughts and ideas to engineering and non-engineering audiences.
  • Proven track record in building highly-available and scalable distributed systems
  • Experience of leading a small team
  • Experience in working with following solutions is a plus:
    • Qualtrics XM (Experience Mangement) platform
    • Interaction management solutions (e.g. Genesys/Twilio/Amazon Connect)
    • Salesforce Service Cloud
    • Knowledge Management solutions (e.g. eGain)

 

Your day-to-day

 

  • Working with multiple technologies, developing Consumer Engagement solutions
  • Establishing a strong engineering culture, with focus on code quality, scalability, and maintainability
  • Designing solutions based on business needs and helping product team in issue/incident resolution
  • Leading technical discussions within the team and be the go-to person for the team for guidance and troubleshooting
  • Understanding, implementing and measuring key Business and Engineering metrics around performance, quality and availability, and work regularly with the team to push the boundaries and improve them periodically
  • Fostering and building a culture of actively engaging team members in engineering and design discussions
  • Setting up solid process and practices around code quality, conventions and standards
  • Helping product teams in grooming and prioritisation of Technical Debts
  • Implementing and maintaining security best practices for cloud environments and applications
  • Leading and Contributing towards organisation wide tech initiatives and transformations
  • Mentoring and coach software engineer
