About the team and ideal candidate:

 

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Enterprise Data Platform team and drive the delivery of scalable, cloud-based data solutions that power advanced analytics, AI, and business decision-making across PMI.

In this role, you will act as a trusted technical advisor, leading data onboarding initiatives across ingestion, standardization, and harmonization. You will work closely with Product Owners, Solution Architects, Data Scientists, and Engineering teams to design and implement robust, enterprise-grade data products using AWS, Snowflake, Matillion, and dbt.

You will shape engineering standards, foster best practices, and mentor both internal and external teams while ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, governed, and aligned with enterprise architecture principles.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

 

  • Act as a technical advisor to Product Owners and domain leaders on data engineering architecture and platform capabilities.
  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable cloud-enabled data solutions across the full delivery lifecycle.
  • Drive data ingestion, transformation, standardization, and harmonization initiatives within the Enterprise Data Platform.
  • Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS, Snowflake, Matillion, and dbt.
  • Define and enforce reusable engineering patterns, development standards, and best practices.
  • Design and maintain physical data models and reusable feature layers supporting analytical and AI/ML use cases.
  • Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture, data governance, privacy, and security requirements.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to enable feature engineering, model lineage, reproducibility, and model consumption.
  • Lead technical delivery teams, including vendor partners, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
  • Drive performance optimization and cost-efficiency strategies across data platforms and cloud services.
  • Promote engineering excellence through documentation, governance, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Contribute actively to Data Engineering Communities of Practice and technical leadership forums.

 

SKILLS & CAPABILITIES:

 

  • 8+ years of experience delivering scalable cloud-based data engineering solutions.
  • Previous experience as a Data Engineering Lead or in a similar technical leadership role.
  • Deep expertise in AWS services, including S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Glue, Step Functions, and IAM.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, including performance optimization, data warehousing, and governance.
  • Proven experience with Matillion, dbt, SQL, ETL/ELT processes, and physical data modelling.
  • Solid understanding of data architecture, data quality, metadata management, security, and governance principles.
  • Knowledge of machine learning data workflows, including feature engineering, lineage, reproducibility, and data drift monitoring.
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor technical teams in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Nice to have: Experience with MLOps tools such as SageMaker, Databricks, MLflow, or similar

In this position, you will earn no less than 21 800 PLN gross per month
