About the Role 

 

The Sustainability Governance Manager supports the Head of S&PD Sustainability in deploying and executing the sustainability strategy cycle and in maintaining effective cross functional governance structures. 

The role ensures sustainability objectives are embedded in business planning and operational decision making, enabling aligned, measurable, and timely progress across corporate and market levels. This position acts as a key integrator between functions, governance forums, and leadership. 

 

 

Your day-to-day: 

 

  • Operationalize and coordinate the sustainability strategy cycle, acting as project manager across functions and markets, including strategy updates and feedback integration 

  • Ensure sustainability objectives are embedded in business planning cycles, OGSM, and business review processes 

  • Maintain and continuously improve sustainability governance structures and forums, enabling effective crossfunctional decisionmaking and information sharing 

  • Organize and support sustainability committees and forums, ensuring minutes of meetings, action logs, follow-up, and escalation mechanisms are in place and executed 

  • Act as a key interface between sustainability governance structures, senior leadership, and executive decisionmaking processes 

  • Facilitate internal stakeholder engagement, feedback loops, and alignment between corporate and market sustainability teams 

  • Coordinate with communications and engagement teams to ensure consistent messaging and knowledge sharing 

  • Promote adoption of governance processes and drive continuous improvement through stakeholder consultation and feedback 

 

 

What we’re looking for: 

 

 

  • Degree in Finance, Project Management, or a related field 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a corporate environment with good knowledge of PMI organization and ways of working 

  • Strong understanding of corporate sustainability and PMI's sustainability strategy 

  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to work autonomously. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, while dealing with ambiguity 

  • Agility and ability to work with different functions and business units 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Strong organizational and time management skills 

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders 

  • EU citizenship or a valid work permit to work in Poland or Portugal
