ROLE OVERVIEW 

As a Machine Learning Engineer supporting PMI’s Consumer Segmentation Team, you will be responsible for building robust, ethical, and scalable ML models that support global segmentation strategies. You will ensure models are activation-ready, traceable, and aligned with business goals and compliance standards.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?  

• Master’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in ML engineering or related roles.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Proficiency in SQL for data handling and integration.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as pytest for validating ML pipelines.
• Solid foundation in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) for scalable model development.
• Experience with Snowflake, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS (S3, EMR, SageMaker).
• Strong understanding of model evaluation, bias mitigation, and ethical AI practices.
• Experience with Atlassian Suite (Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence).
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Experience working with remote teams and agile development environments.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI (GenAI) for segmentation, personalization, or automation.
• Familiarity with NLP pipelines and prompt engineering.

• Develop, train, and deploy ML models for segmentation, ensuring performance, robustness, and fairness.
• Resolve pre- and post-deployment issues, addressing ethical, privacy, and data protection concerns.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate models into omnichannel platforms.
• Maintain modular and retrainable segmentation pipelines.
• Document processes and ensure reproducibility of ML workflows.
• Support market enablement by providing tools, training, and guidance to regional teams.
• Align model development with global governance standards and the AI Act.
