Purpose of the job:
The Lead Indirect eCommerce Intelligence EU plays a pivotal role in ensuring that PMI’s Indirect eCommerce strategy is powered by a data‑driven, consumer‑centric decision‑making framework.
The role is responsible for reporting governance, dashboard development, insights generation, data integration, and performance monitoring across markets and regions. It ensures that the right metrics, tools, and analytical capabilities are in place to guide commercial decisions and identify new business opportunities.
This position works in close partnership with the Indirect eCommerce Business Analyst, cross‑functional teams, and data infrastructure groups to guarantee high‑quality data flows, accurate KPIs, and actionable insights that directly support channel growth and operational excellence.
Your ‘Day to Day’
1. Reporting Governance & Performance Management
· Prioritize, develop, and continuously improve business reports and dashboards to ensure the organization is tracking the right KPIs.
· Ensure consistent, accurate, and timely reporting across markets and regions, supporting monthly and quarterly governance routines.
· Partner with BI teams and the Indirect eCommerce Business Analyst to maintain KPI clarity and improve reporting automation and reliability.
2. Insights & Analytics Generation
· Analyze commercial, consumer, and operational data to uncover business opportunities, identify performance gaps, and guide strategic decisions.
· Provide actionable recommendations to markets, regions, and global teams across the indirect eCommerce channel.
· Transform complex datasets into compelling narratives for non-technical stakeholders.
3. Dashboard Development & Data Infrastructure Collaboration
· Build, maintain, and evolve interactive dashboards (e.g., Power BI) that deliver intuitive and timely insights.
· Collaborate with data engineering and BI teams to enhance data pipelines, automate flows, and integrate multiple data sources (e.g., Similar Web, Offtake, Snowflake).
· Ensure data models and infrastructure support scalable, reliable reporting.
4. Performance Monitoring & Strategic Alignment
· Monitor channel specific KPIs such as engagement metrics, visibility, pricing, conversion, and offtake performance.
· Support planning cycles by defining, validating, and aligning performance indicators.
· Ensure insights are embedded into the commercial decision-making process at market, regional, and global levels.
5. Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Partners with Commercial, Digital, CX, Marketing, Sales Ops, and GBS teams to embed intelligence into operational routines.
· Participate in or lead structured communication cycles (business reviews, performance readouts, and cross-market forums).
· Ensure transparency, alignment, and actionable insight delivery across all partners.
6. Capability Building & Best Practice Sharing
· Support capability development across markets through training, documentation, and structured knowledge-sharing.
· Embed analytical best practices, standard KPIs, and reporting frameworks across the region.
· Contribute to the improvement of intelligence tools and analytical competencies within the organization.
Who We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business, Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
· 2–3 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, commercial analytics, or similar analytical roles.
· Experience in FMCG, digital commerce, or commercial performance analytics is preferred.
Technical Skills
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and advanced Excel.
· Strong SQL querying capabilities, preferably with ML experience.
· Familiarity with data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake), data integration/automation tools and prediction models.
· Experience with additional intelligence platforms (e.g., Similar Web, competitive analytics tools) is an advantage.
