Purpose of the Role

 

The GPO Lead acts as the owner of the end‑to‑end R2R process, responsible for defining the blueprint of the global process, ensuring standardization, and driving continuous transformation across markets. The role ensures a single point of accountability for the Record‑to‑Report process and its roadmap.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Global Process Ownership

 

  • Develop and maintain the global process blueprint for R2R.
  • Identify process variants across affiliates and rationalize where needed.
  • Define and implement the end‑to‑end governance model for R2R.
  • Build the process & technology strategy including SAP, RPA, analytics, GenAI, and dedicated tools.
  • Own the multiyear transformation roadmap (e.g., Hyper‑recon, CFIN, BS review, MEC redesign).

 

Governance & Controls

 

  • Oversee global harmonization, compliance, and alignment with GPO standards.
  • Provide direction on role design, process controls, and quality assurance.

 

Stakeholder Management: Build strong partnerships with: 

 

  •       Retained teams, BPO leads, Transformation teams
  •       SMEs across GL, Intercompany, FA, and S&W
  •       Drive alignment with executive stakeholders and market finance leads.

 

  Change & Transformation Leadership

 

  •         Lead major transformation initiatives
  •         Oversee deployment of global tools (reconciliation, MEC calendar, dashboards, etc.).

 

Operational Excellence

 

  •       Establish KPIs, dashboards, and continuous improvement cycles.
  •       Ensure consistent adoption of standard processes across all entities
  •       Support audits, SOX controls, and risk mitigation activities.
  • Provides ongoing support for business‑as‑usual activities associated with the implemented project

 

Competencies Required

 

  •       Strong process design and process ownership experience
  •        R2R /Finance end‑to‑end expertise
  •        Proven leadership in cross‑market/global transformation
  •        Ability to influence senior stakeholders
  •        Experience with SAP, automation tools, and analytics platforms
  •        Excellent governance and communication skills
  •        Advanced proficiency in English, with strong skills in both written and verbal communication.
  •        Highly creative, forward‑thinking, and eager to innovate while leaving old silos behind.
