Trade Delevelopment Representative

As a Trade Development Representative, you will drive sales growth across physical, hybrid, and digital channels within your territory while building strong customer relationships and delivering exceptional execution.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow your territory through in-person, hybrid, and digital engagement.
  • Build strong relationships with store owners, managers, and frontline staff.
  • Execute sales and trade plans to improve distribution, visibility, and sales performance.
  • Deliver promotional activities and retail activations.
  • Analyze territory performance, identify opportunities, and implement action plans.
  • Support digital and omni-channel initiatives across your customer base.
  • Conduct physical and virtual customer visits to achieve sales objectives.
  • Manage third-party partners and ensure effective in-market execution.
  • Monitor competitor activities and provide market insights.
  • Maintain compliance with PMI policies and business standards.

Minimum Requirements

  • Completed Matric.
  • Bachelor's Degree, relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver's license with more than 12 months validity.
  • Minimum 3 years' FMCG or pharmaceutical sales experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Johannesburg and surrounding areas, with previous experience in the territory.
  • Experience working independently.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience leading people, projects, or processes.
  • Experience with digital sales tools and POS systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong English communication skills.
